When a home gets new vinyl siding, it's a big upgrade. But here's the thing most people don't think about - the windows. If the trim around them doesn't match the new siding color, the whole exterior can feel unfinished. That mismatch is exactly what we stepped in to fix on this job.

The siding on this home came in a warm, earthy taupe-gray tone. Nice color. But the existing window trim didn't match it at all. So we came in, prepped every window properly, masked everything off, and sprayed the trim to coordinate with the new siding. Front, back, sides - we hit every elevation.

That's the part of exterior painting that separates a clean finish from a rushed one. Proper prep and masking takes time, but it's what keeps paint off the glass and gives you those crisp, sharp lines where the trim meets the brick. On a house like this, with brick wrapping the lower half and siding up top, the trim is what visually connects everything. It's a small detail that carries a lot of weight.

The finished result is a home that reads as one cohesive look - not a house that got new siding slapped on and called it a day. Every window, from the tall narrow ones on the side to the larger windows out back near the patio, got the same clean, consistent treatment. That's what makes curb appeal actually work. It's not one big thing. It's a lot of small things done right.

If you've recently had siding replaced - or you're planning to - this kind of exterior painting work is worth thinking about early. Getting the trim color dialed in before you're staring at a mismatch is always easier than fixing it after the fact. We do this kind of detail work on residential homes regularly, and it makes a bigger difference than most people expect.
