This was a big one. Large brick home with a mix of siding sections across the front, sides, and rear - all needing a cohesive, updated look that worked with the existing brick rather than competing with it.

The approach here was a 2-tone finish. A warm neutral on the siding panels paired with a deep, crisp black on all the trim, window frames, and fascia. It sounds simple, but pulling that off cleanly across a home this size - with rounded turrets, multi-story sections, and arched windows - takes real prep and precision. Sloppy lines on a home like this would stand out immediately.

We used Sherwin-Williams Duration for the job. It's one of the better products out there for exterior work because it's built to handle weather, resist fading, and hold its finish season after season. On a home with this much surface area, you want a coating you can trust long-term - not something that's going to chalk out or peel in a couple of years.

The 2-tone combination does a lot of heavy lifting here. The neutral siding keeps things warm and grounded, while the black trim sharpens every edge and frames those large windows beautifully. The home already had great architecture - the paint just lets it show.

Fall is actually a smart time to get exterior painting done. Cooler temps, lower humidity, and paint that cures the way it's supposed to. If you've been putting off an exterior update, now is a good window before winter shuts things down.
